Probiotics for Kittens: Be a Probiotics PRO!

Probiotics are a tool that should be in EVERY foster parent’s toolkit! Probiotics are gut-healthy bacteria that help restore GI balance, and keep cats and kittens healthy. I recommend Bene-Bac PLUS, a fantastic probiotic I’ve been using for years, which is available as either a powder or a gel! In this video I’ll tell you why I love it, and show you how to use it so that you can incorporate it into your kitten care strategy, too.

  1. Can I just say the majority of OUR immune systems are in our guts too? Lol this is why gut health is SO important.

Even things like depression and anxiety start with poor gut health! Everything from MS, to lupus, to fibromyalgia, to endometriosis, to Alzheimer’s, to cancer starts with your diet and gut health!

Our food boils down to only a few main grains—our ancestors used to eat tons of different grains which led to their immaculate mental development & alignment with the universe. They were so in tune with their bodies and the earth.

We are so out of touch, we don’t even feel the dirt with our feet, let alone eat a variety of foods. The food we eat all boils down to the same handful of awful ingredients—including sugar and freaking cow’s milk, both of which are horrible for us.

Just had to share haha. Cut out sugar and milk, white or wheat it really doesn’t matter it’s not good for you, you don’t need 11 freaking servings of bread every day. Increase water intake, incorporate probiotics, eat fruits and veggies, and a variety of clean/healthy grains. Natural stuff, not processed! Oh, and get outside in the fresh air & socialize! Be happy! Mind soul and body are ALL interconnected!

  2. I have a 10 week kitten she has been active running playing up until yesterday when she started throwing up every time she eats, she tries to eat and I’ve given her even a bit of roast but throws it up. I just gave her a rhino shot and wonderful probiotics will help

  7. have you seen how much sugar in there? Not prebiotic type, but just dextrose, more than 70% – might me ok for the dogs, but NOT for cats – will produce hyperglycemia.

  8. Hi. I have a question, how many times do I need to give my cats the probiotics? I am sorry with my english. Thank youu

  11. I’m a foster cat mommy too! Im taking care of 5week old kittens! One of the kitty’s is on antibiotics and everytime I give it to her she wheezes. I give it very slowly and she looks so unhappy. I’m wondering is she wheezes from how I give it to her or from the actual med…any suggestions?

  14. Does probiotics help with constipation in a 5 week old kitten? My kitty didn’t poop for 5 days. He had to get two enemas at the vet before he finally pooped. But the vet didn’t recommend probiotics when I asked. I’m so confused.

  16. Hi KittenLady,
i am interested in giving my adult cat probiotics as a long term supplement. How many times a day would i need to give it? Can i give the paste version or does it need to be the powder one? Does the product have long expiry date aswell?

  17. My kitten had her first bout of diarrhea yesterday and first thing I did was feed her a probiotic, and today she is fine. I did give her another package of probiotics just to be sure.

  18. I love you videos. I think you give a lot of great advice, I disagree with you on this.
The evidence supporting the benefits of using probiotics in cats is much less substantial then this video implies.

  19. My cat literally begs for her probotic in the morning. We just sprinkle it on her food and every morning she comes in and begs for us to go put it on her food and give her a fresh cup of water.
